Happy Sunday Deplorables!

Another week has ended and a new one has began. Wanted to share another one of my 5 minute poems. I was reflecting on my childhood this morning, and this came to me. We are all soldiers in this reality. I believe in self made destiny. I believe that our spoken words create our fate. This poem I think reflects this:

Nemesis

Nemesis
Kept from
nosey eyes
in the
dark corner
of an unfinished
basement
are secrets
nestled
in an imaginary
chest box
Decades
later
perceptions
distorted
shame
unevenly
placed
leaves
guilt
as
the
keyholder
to the
unspoken
box
I am
living
with
my
mistakes
you
however
have
manipulated
yourself
into thinking
that
the
designer
and
creator
cannot
simply
be
discovered
by
looking
into
the
mirror
Thief
of
my
birthright
interrogator
to
my
self confidence
now
masquerades
as
healer
and
comforter
to
our
past
It is
not
me
that
needed
protection
It is not
me
that
is
inadequate
or
weak
I am
my
destiny
I am
the
Spartacus
to
my
fate
The air
in the battlefield
is
full
of
haze
Yet
my
sword
is
unsheathed
ready
to
conquer
the
obstacles
of
life
that
await
before
me
The white
flag
will
never
rise
Glory
is
who
I am
the
conquistador
is
what
my creative
breath
has
spoken
in me
there
is
no
nemesis
