Today I want to honor Silvia Plath. Confessional Poetry became an evolving style in the 50’s and 60’s. Silvia Plath was an incredible confessional poet that brought heart and emotions to the reader. The 1960’s were known as a social revolution in America, writers like Silva Plath opened a pathway where content that before were hidden in secret, became open for society to see. “Ariel” which was published posthumously, was one of the most inspirational poetic pieces that myself have ever read. I encourage you to take the time to read and reflect. Grab a glass of wine, relax and read.
